When I heard that Gail Simone was going to be writing for the new Red Sonja ongoing, I couldn't help but be excited. I've never read Red Sonja at all, but I think that since Simone is going to be writing it, I will at least check out the first couple issues. I don't have anything against Red Sonja, I just haven't read anything about her. In fact, I think I might actually really like Red Sonja, but I never would have even looked into her if it wasn't for the news about Simone writing for it.
I believe the first time that I heard about Gail Simone and really became a fan was when I started reading Batgirl. I love the BatFamily and I read nearly every title in that group. I find it hard to think about not reading one of the Bat Family titles, because I love the characters so much. I think that even if I absolutely hated the writing, I would keep on reading it, cringing as it went along.
I feel bad that I don't pay much attention to the artist and writer. It isn't that I don't care, but I easily get names mixed up or the titles that they work on mxed up. I feel like I should try harder to remember who they are, but my pull list is so large every week that it is nearly impossible for me to do that.
