Now when I first started reading the Siege series back in December (Cabal), I never thought it would be turning out to be something amazing. I'll be honest, I'm not too crazy about Bendis' work. Especially with his run on the Secret Invasion. The question is, would I truly buy into the hype that he promised with the Siege? Seeing the teaser image of Asgard falling had me sold. It reminded me of the Incident that sparked the Civil War. The first book of Siege was ok. It didn't have me shocked or stunned, but it did get me interested.

A few weeks after that released, the first Dark Avengers Siege tie-in was released. It put emphasis on the relationship established between Norman and Sentry (as well as Senty's wife). It basically explained the true origins of Sentry and how he became what he is. Also, it showed how easily Norman manipulated the Sentry into thinking he was a good man and that there was nothing wrong with him (this was also shown in the earlier issues of Dark Avengers). Let me get straight to the point. You instantly knew by the end of this comic that the Sentry would be Norman's ace up the sleeve.

He gave Sentry some drug to make him think he was being cured, which really just brought out the sun personality inside him. Sentry flew away hoping to escape from causing anyone harm, but the evil personality talked him into coming back. You knew once Sentry hit the battlefield on Asgard, that he was going to release his rage on someone. This brings me to Siege #2. Siege #2 basically showed you that the series is going to be focusing on meat of the battle.
