Most of you have probably heard my thoughts on the whole 9/11 conspiracy theory. I firmly believe that what transpired that day was a rouse for a much bigger prize and thousands of our fellow American's paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Slowly more and more American's are beginning to question what really happened, and for the first time ever a mainstream publisher (Image Comics) is backing an "indy" title that hopefully will get people talking.
The Big Lie is the story about the wife of a victim finding a way to travel back in time to warn her husband about the impending danger. While ultimately nothing is stopped, the well written story is able to plant the seeds needed for discerning citizen's of this great country to hopefully want to find out more.

I took some time to read "The Infinite" and wanted to share my thoughts.
There is some stuff floating around about how Rob Liefeld draws and for better or worse he has been tasked with this series. I must tell you that reading this comic was like a flashback to the 90's (when I first got into comics) with one exception...Robert Kirkman.
The Infinite brings us Bowen and Case trying to undo the evils of the world only to resort to time travel to "cure all ails". We all know how well that will likely go over, but after the first issue finishes setting up the series it is wide open as to where we go from here.

It is not everyday a free comic shows up on your doorstep. I must tell you I think the cover is gorgeous and that is what hooked me from the beginning. As they say this is only the tip of the iceberg. The whole comic has beautiful artwork and for the most part a solid script.
The first few pages were a little tough to get through with the dialog spanning multiple characters that are "off-screen". It was even a little difficult because someone kept saying "Jesus" as if to almost be swearing. Eventually you figure out that a character's name is Jesus, but anyone could read it the other way.
About halfway through I was hooked. For some reason my mind kept going back and thinking of Deep Blue Sea the movie with a hint of Pirates of the Caribbean. Garrie Gastonny's artwork could easily make him one of my favorite artists and I need to find out what else he has done. Just check out the "shower scene" below. (It sort of reminds me of the Luna Brothers work on Girls, but with an edge that sets it apart).
