Programmer by day, comic nerd by night. My official job title is "Director of Janitorial Engineering"
As with all of these movies I have been able to score sneak preview tickets and can see them days before the rest of you. Because of this I shall ruin it all for you by telling you this.
Are you ready for it?
Are you sure?- read more
Before I get into my review of the movie after I saw it last night...let me preface my review with a "setup".
I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go. My wife doesn't get home until 6:30 and they start seating at 7. So that would mean that I would be late in line. Luckily I had a co-worker going and asked her if her family could save me a seat or place in line and she said yes.
So I show up 10 minutes after seating opened, and about 1 minute after it closed. I walked to the front of the line and told the guy that I had already been in, I was just in the bathroom. I technically had a seat saved so it wasn't like I was cutting.- read more
Ok...so I saw this one last night.
I have never read the series but the previews looked decent to me, it stars Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman (2 of my favorites), and it is a comic book movie. So this meant that it is a must see. Plus it doesn't hurt that I worked it handing out free passes so I got to get there later and save a prime seat.
After watching this movie I would have to compare it to 300 meets NY and the millenium. It was a very graphic and VERY violent movie.- read more
Ok so the Mrs. and I were able to check out a sneak preview of the Hulk which comes out this friday.
One thing I have learned about these sneak previews is that my time should be worth more than $4 an hour - the price of a movie ticket ($8) divided by the number of hours spent waiting for the movie to start (2).
This screening was packed...probably 550 with them having to turn others away. There were also a lot of kids. I think most kids have heard of The Hulk before unlike Iron Man. One nice thing about this theater is that you can bring your own food and drink in...they don't care. So we were able to get a reasonably priced meal before hand. But anyways...I digress.- read more

I decided the other day that I was going to break down and watch this movie in the theater. Even though it has been getting bad reviews I didn't care. Plus, if you go see it during the day the ticket cost is only $5 (half of the normal cost and the same cost as renting it on demand).
I didn't have very many expectations. I just know that I read about why it took what 20 years to appear...that Ford, Spielberg, and Lucas couldn't agree on a suitable plot.- read more
