- I've never sent comics to CGC before but I have a couple Absolute Batman #1s that I may want to get slabbed. Does anyone have any horror stories or does the process work pretty well?

- Sorry Mr. Abyss, can't help you. I sent five comics to a competitor of CGC that is now out of business I believe. The grades they gave me were much lower than I expected and they somehow managed to lose their notes about my books so I couldn't even fight them. Others here will know far more I'm sure.
On the other hand I could save you some time and trouble by offering you $25.00 cash for the both of them, no questions asked!!Tenzil

- My only horror story is that one of my first shipments I packaged really well, bought insurance and sent off to CGC. The package arrived absolutely crushed. Like either heavy load on it, or dropped from a height, but it split out the side of the box and dinged the corner of every book. USPS refused to cover the insurance.
Just make sure that they are really secure, maybe a box in a box type situation. Or, if available, take them to CGC in person at a convention and do same day service.
Use the analyzer to see if the value of it slabbed is worth the cost vs the raw value, etc.Favorite Quote: "You're not just some guy in a bat costume are you? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! - Justice League #1, 2011" Hunting for (mainly reprints/variants) - Please help! - See My Profile

- Yeah, my fear was always having it get damaged in the mail but then i realized .... same risk as if I sell an unslabbed one to someone. Looks like maybe an extra $200 or so w/ a slabbed version so it may be worth it.
