  • How much does a single spine ding bring down a comic's grade? Let's say it's in 9.8 shape save for one spine ding, maybe where someone pinched the spine too hard and now there's that one little indent halfway down.

  • there are all kinds of 'dings'...non color breaking barely noticeable will drop it a couple points, i have a newsstand Hulk #1 from 2008, has a bend as you are saying that is non color breaking...it came back from CGC at a 9.6. The older the book, the less it takes away i believe...

    also on a side note, if you are stuck on a how to grade your book...at the top of the page next to the search bar & guide button there is a tab that says 'Grade'...give it a whirl. It's not exact, but it will get you very close...
