  • Hello I'm not an expert of comic books but I recently had a pile of cooks someone sold to me at a estate sell and I'm making a catalog of what I have. I basically own 2 books that are the same but one of them under the issue number and the month there a "cc 01321" and I'm not sure if its the same thing or if it has more value... please let me know Thanks in advanceAngelAngel

  • The CC# (as shown in your sample link) is an indicator that a book was distributed on the newsstand (e.g. 7-11, Barnes & Noble, etc.) versus a comic shop (which would be a direct edition and not have the CC# reference).

It sounds like you have a newsstand and a direct edition of the same book. Most people don't see a difference between the two from a value perspective. A smaller group (myself included) collect both versions.

Newsstand editions can be worth a little more for issues that are more current (2010 and later) as the print runs got super low.
