  • The older I get, the more I realize I won't get to read and watch everything out there.

  • Ain't THAT the truth! As I dig through my daughter's pretty respectable collection (10 Longboxes) for Marvel comics I really see that there's a lot of stuff out there I haven't even thought of reading yet. . .

  • Episode 174: Marvel's 80th Anniversary sees the return of Marvel Comics Presents, Dirk Manning is a master storyteller, Maxwell's Demons might make you shed a tear, and Casper is the friendliest ghost you know! All this plus Lois Lane is up to her usual shenanigans, Seventies style.

  • Episode 175: The Guardians of the Galaxy are back but different, Cheryl and Jason Blossom are vying for the title of Anti-Christ, we bring Disney's Little Mermaid to you courtesy of FCBD, the Coyote is still after the Road Runner, and Green Lantern claims that he's guilty of "the most dreadful crime in the universe!"

  • Episode #175 huh? Nice milestone there!
About the portion concerning reading habits, I am right with you there. Reading is reading, whether it is a literary classic or a comic book. Some comic writers are literary greats as it is. And, with comic books, you get the best of both worlds. Beautiful, provoking artwork working in conjunction with the story that you are reading. Personally, I think that avid comic book readers are more intelligent, have a better imagination, and a bigger vocabulary.
Machete was telling me about that Blossoms book last week. I may have to check it out. I didn't realize it was a tv series as well.
People want to know. How can I live like this? The risks? The times I've descended into madness? The times I've died? How can I live like this? How could I live any other way?

  • Spector, great assessment of comic book readers. To clarify, there is not a Blossoms 666 TV show, but I was just mentioning that some of the characters from the Riverdale show who are dead are present in the Blossoms 666 comic. Sorry for any confusion...and maybe it will be a show someday.

  • Oh my mistake entirely. I have caught a few episodes of Riverdale on Netflix, and it is pretty decent. I got one of the FCBD issues last year as well. I still prefer the old school Archie and the Gang, but still glad they put a modern take on things too.
