  • In Episode 167, you'll find heroes from Black Lightning to the Transformers (including Rom: Spaceknight) to Little Lulu.

Also, the Hulk battles Santa Claus in a fight for the ages, a look back at the X-Tinction Agenda from 2015, and a fan letter in Black Lightning #9 from none other than Mike W. Barr.

You can find it all right here! https://edgosney.com/2018/12/06/this-week-black-lightning-transformers-and-even-little-lulu/

  • I just started dipping my toes into Western books, finally adding two 50's era books into my collection, so thanks for the info on Shadow Roads and the Sixth Gun. I am interested to see the modern day take on Western books now.

  • I was never a fan of The Hulk but may just have to find myself that issue. Don't know how that slipped past my radar. It looks like a fun read.

So did Marvel redo X-Tinction Agenda? I don't keep up with modern Marvel anymore. Shame they've run out of ideas and keep rehashing old stories. The storyline from the 90s was a classic.

  • In Episode 169, Cool Comics takes a look at several Christmas themed issues, including the newest holiday special from the Walmart collaboration, Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, and Disney. We also go back to early Conan in anticipation of new Marvel Conan stories next month, the diabolical Batman Who Laughs, and a couple digital delights.

  • I bought three of those Wal-Mart holiday specials as stocking stuffers for my youngest nieces. I think they make great (small) Christmas gifts. They won't break the bank and they're a pretty nice introduction to comics, having a variety of pretty good stories and a decent range of characters under one cover.

  • Atom, I bought each of my three kids both the Holiday Walmart special and the one that came out at Halloween. Using them as stocking stuffers is a great idea!

  • It ain't easy confessing you've never seen Fight Club, so I'll come out and admit I've never seen the whole thing either. Just bits here and there. I guess we're members of the "No Fight Club".
