- I met someone who is willing to trade his new mutants 87 for my wolverine 66 turner variant (non sketch). Both are valued at $150. I would love to have Cable's first appearance but...just wondering if I would be getting the better deal or should I wait and see if the Cable hype dies down and get one at a lower price? Thoughts?

- Based on recent Ebay sales, it seems like the Turner book is slightly more valuable today. But for my money, a first appearance will always trump a hot variant in the long term.

- Some consider that Wolverine #66 to be Old Man Logan's first appearance. So it still may have long term value especially since it's the Turner variant cover.

Interesting. I didn't realize that it might not be until I read this.
A little poking shows me on several sites (including this one) a listing of the ACTUAL 1st appearance of OML in Fantastic Four #558. So now my question is: Why is Fantastic Four #558 sitting at Longbox Junk price?

The FF #558 appearance is just a cameo as "the hooded man."
