  • I know as a collector I don't like getting trade paperbacks for Christmas. Seems like this always happens to me this time of year. I prefer the actual issues. And also no Superhero boxers. I have a few which are still in the tin cans they came in.

  • Another fun blog by you, Ed! I liked your reviews but even more I enjoyed seeing the cover to MTU #48, a comic I own, as well as Eagle #2, another comic I own but haven't thought about for a long time. There were actually quite a few black and white titles that came out in the wake of the success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Suddenly everyone who had not been able to find work with Marvel or DC scraped together a few bucks and pounded out some mostly not so great comics. Eagle was one of the more successful ones from that era, prior to Image and Valiant and others. The best Comic book related pre-Christmas gift I received recently is the cool DC comics ugly sweater featuring the logos of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Green Lantern. And on the weekend I saw a woman in the mall wearing the most awesome looking Spider-Man sweater! It was amazing, pun intended!

  • Tenzil, thanks for the kind words and great comments! I'm sure you've gotten some fun usage out of that DC ugly sweater, and I bet almost all fans wish they had it!
