  • I was looking into some books and I see that they are selling a Virgin Sketch Cover. What in the world is it? I can use my imagination but I don't think that is what this means.

    Anyone happen to know?

  • A virgin sketch cover is a cover that JUST has the name of the book on the top & the civer is JUST PLAIN white so u can find an artist to draw the character of the book on the cover.

  • Those actually seem like a pretty cool idea, if you go to a lot of shows.

  • Last weekend I had Dave Dorman (Star Wars Dark Empire covers) do a Darth Vader sketch on ASM 648. It looks really good.

When that issue came out, I bought 20 copies for getting sketches at comic conventions.

  • you need to link the image to the forum post ...underneath where you type your post it says --bold, italic, underline, image, url ---you need to place the image web address in the image one

the way i do this is i upload my images to the site flikr and then open up the image in its own window which gives me the image's web address

  • That isn't a virgin sketch cover...that is a "blank cover" or "convention cover".

A virgin sketch cover is first just a sketch cover (i.e. without color). The virgin part means it is without trade dressing, i.e. logo, title, etc.

  • I will resist the urge to make any virgin related jokes which is quite a challenge as 25% of this sites users probably qualify

  • Thank you for the clarification. I was a little confused about it. If you don't ask questions you cannot learn. Smile
