  • So just wanted to put a list of Hot Books i have been seeing in my adventures through comic sites and stores lately. There is no order here, i only numbered them as a list...

    1. West Coast Avengers #45 (1st White Vision)... Holy Batarangs Batman, What Happened? Well obviously, those that watch the show know exactly why this one is SKYROCKETING faster then a rocket ship...

    2. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16 (1st Monica Rambeau) / Captain Marvel Giant Size #1 / Avengers #227 (Monica Joins Avengers) / Mighty Avengers #1 (1st Monica as Spectrum)... Again WandaVision pushing these ones... and maybe a bit of speculating on the Avengers 227 lol...

    3. Vengeance #1 (1st America Chavez)... Awesome character and pretty sure rumored for either a show or movie has this one jumping.

    4. Strange Academy #1 (Tons of 1st apps)... Well written series so far, plus a plethora of famous characters kids 1st appearances has this one running up the mountain...

    5. Star Wars...There are SOOOOO many star wars books going up by crazy amounts, not sure how to even list them all, just search Star Wars and everything gets expensive lol...

  • I've been seeing Star Wars books going up as well. The success of The Mandalorian and interest in Boba Fett are helping fuel some of that. Two issues which have gone up significantly are Boba Fett's first comic book appearance in Star Wars #42 (Marvel, 1980). And issue #68 which has his origin story.

  • Sounds obvious, but anything related to Venom or Carnage origin has been on the move. Secret Wars8, ASM252, ASM300, ASM316, ASM361. With Knull storyline and Venom2 movie adding fuel to them.

I think Jane Foster Thor What If#10 is going for about double what this site suggests.

Honorable mention: She Hulk, Spider-Woman, TMNT issue #1's

  • unsure where you are getting your data on what if 10 cause sold data does not reflect your claim. These are raw books, not graded.

  • VF's and higher seem pretty close to 7 day sold data, it's the lower scale that seems to skew off to little. I bought 6.5 at $75 last year, maybe overpaid but I think not. I've sold 2 copies since then that were sub 6.0 range for $65. This site guides at $25. Maybe my own experience and observation is meaningless compared to thousands of transaction that happen. Anyway, this thread is about hot books not site pricing accuracy. I think this is still a hot book and trending up. To anyone reading, prepare to pay more than guide.

  • Our prices are NM at 9.4, any other grades are calculated via a %, we do not track every single grade of every single comic in this HUGE library separately. lol... I dont think that is out of the ordinary... if a book has increased in value (NM) then the % raises all the rest... A guide is solely that...A Guide...not a bible. It is ALWAYS suggested that people do their own homework before buying or selling any comic book. A Comic is only worth what somebody else is willing to spend their hard earned money on, nothing more. We get our values via an average of SOLD data only.

So in respect to your claim, which was a blanket statement, the price is accurate...for lower grades, the percent may be off on this particular book i suppose.
