  • I just read on the Comics Heating Up blog that this issue is rare. I checked out eBay and the lowest price for it is $40. I don't know if it sells for this high, but it's not even a retailer incentive variant. Does anybody have the story behind why this particular cover has shot up so much?

  • What’s determining that it’s rare? It was the Dan Duncan cover which was printed in same quantity as other variations. #5B was the Eastman cover which was 1:10 and both are only worth between $3 and $4.

  • I have no idea why this issue is pushing these prices. Does it have something to do with the movie, maybe?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5336824214&toolid=10001&

  • I suppose it does have to do with the new cartoon and movie. Turtle items are going through the roof right now especially on ebay. Saw some of the early Mirage issues selling for double and triple what they are worth. Just a few months ago you could pick them up cheap and last year I remember seeing them in dollar bins at the cons.
