- Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has any perspectives on this.
For a long time I've had a NM or VF+ copy of Batman #407 (Year One pt. 4). It has two covers, front and back. Two cover sheets must have stuck together when the printers stapled the comic. You turn the front cover, and there's another cover.
Any idea how/if something like this affects value? I was thinking of selling my complete set of Year One issues, but was thinking that I'd have to note the error.

- For me, if it's not a well-known error (for example, Sandman issues 18 and 19 both have well-known printers errors), it doesn't add any collecting value. Similarly, if the error doesn't affect readability in any way (which seems to fit with your description), it doesn't have much, if any, negative impact on my personal grade. I would certainly make a note of the error while selling the comic, but if I were buying it wouldn't affect my offer.

- Typically these seem not to matter except for hard core collectors. So unless you found that one person looking for double covers, it doesn't really matter either way.
For titles I like I try to collect things like this. Mind the Gap #2 had printer errors with dark pages and I got those just for novelty.

- Double covers are definitely a niche collectable. You will probably get a premium for it if you listed it at auction. Some people find them perfect for grading since the inside cover usually grades much higher than a regular cover.

Huh, I'd never thought of that and it makes sense. I might list that one issue as an auction and see how much I get for it.
Thanks for the other responses, guys. I remember hearing about certain famous/known error comics in the '90s (specifically some of the Sandman issues). And around the same time I remember that certain error baseball cards would go for absurd amounts of money.

- I just found discovered that my also has two covers. The outer one would probably be a 3.5 or so, but if I graded it using the inner cover, it would be at least an 8.0. Which grade should I list?

- I bought a moon knight comic back in 1980, and the cover was bright purple, but my other ones I bought were blue covers. I only found another one in Vancouver BC, and I Don't know how many where like this. But I know that double and triple covers are a great niche.

Yes you do list both grades. Cgc, Pgx, they mention both cover grades. I believe tho cgc puts the best grade up front

Along the color lines, New Mutants 100 is also known for a purple and a blue cover. I am not sure there is any _real_ difference, but I think the preference is for the purple cover. However, it has been some time since I heard that and might have the preferences switched. I originally thought the blue was simply a faded purple cover.
