  • Greetings all,

Stopped at my LCS yesterday and they without warning have $1 sales. Had my stack ready and saved like $80.

What issues should I look for today? Got the ones I wanted but what are items that I could flip?

Ones they don't have: panzerfaust, walking dead.

Any suggestions on hot comics or series? Thanks.

  • $1 sales on what? back issues including recent titles? a little more information would help slightly but in all honesty not by much , especially considering you are looking to flip

Unless the people at your LCS are totally clueless anything you are going to buy for a buck you could probably not flip since the likelihood is that they have probably set those issues aside or not counted them in the sale.

My suggestion , buy what you like.

  • Check for the activity 1-3 from Image, Psylocke solo series from a few years back. That one is under the radar. If you are really lucky check for any Sixth Gun below #10. Look for the damned from ONI press.

  • Lol thanks anyways. Found plenty. These guys didn't care what I found. Actually a neighboring city shop, so I'm glad I checked it out. They actually had WDs and panzerfaust.

    Walking dead 62-79, Image First
    Peter panzerfaust 3-6
    Sixth gun 3, 17-19
    Saga 3-6 (4 sets)
    New 52 Batman 7-16
    New 52 Detective Comics 2, 6-17
    Chew 19-31
    X-factor (first apocolypse)
    Morning glories 1(2nd print), 3-14, 18-22
    10-12 #1 assorted new 52s
    Uncanny x-men that I needed
    Adventure time 1
    Civil war 1-7
    Thief of Thieves (assorted)
    Manhattan Projects (assorted)
    Think tank 1-5
    Mind the gap 1-8

For clarification, what series would you recommend I pick up that is hot/good/worth picking up other than those mentioned here or in this forum?

Other then MG #14(which you lucked out on) i just don;t see the flip value. I do however see some major savings so congrats on that. Still sticking to buy what you like.

-edit just saw that X-Factor #6 on that list. I paid $7 other recently for that issue. Wish my LCS held sales like this but a key such as that would be on a wall.

  • I would disagree that there is no flip value in what he got. Saga 3-6 are easy $15 books. Peter Panzerfaust 3-6 are 15-$20 books. The walking dead issues are $10+ books. You could sell for a very nice profit and go back for more.

If I lived there, I would there in about 10 minutes and buy everything in 1 shot before anyone else got there. but that's just me, I like to clean stores out Smile
