- I periodically export my collection as CSV (about once a month). I have noticed that sometimes the order of rows is not stable. Just as an example:
My Oct export had rows in this order: - Booster Gold, Vol. 1, Issue 24 - Booster Gold, Vol. 1, Issue 25 - Booster Gold, Vol. 2, Issue 20 - Booster Gold, Vol. 2, Issue 21
My Nov export had rows in this order: - Booster Gold, Vol. 1, Issue 24 - Booster Gold, Vol. 2, Issue 20 - Booster Gold, Vol. 1, Issue 25 - Booster Gold, Vol. 2, Issue 21
Is there any way that export can be stable in terms of order? I would guess sorting by title, then by volume, then by issue

- I can look at it. Can I ask why you want it stable?

- Thanks!
Every month I pull the CSV, import it into a spreadsheet, then insert a column and paste the new values into a master spreadsheet to allow me to compare how issues change month-to-month. The order needs to be stable for that to happen

- Why don't you just use the "On the Move" report? It will show you your changes.

- Thanks for the tip! I played around a bit with the reports; I can see some of them being useful. But I'm always going to want to do special things with my data. Track an individual issue over a long period of time, etc. Make notes, etc.
Providing the raw data in CSV is a really great service you provide, but if your website one day ends, as all things eventually do, then I will be able to continue tracking things my way (assuming some similar service) until I eventually end

- I just looked. It is already sorting by Title (a-z), Type (issue, tpb, etc), and then the order in the database.
I went ahead and added another sort that should make sure that the series are grouped correctly. Check it out and let me know.Favorite Quote: "You're not just some guy in a bat costume are you?
