- It is a liitle screwy. Star Trek III is listed twice. Once as its own title here: https://comicbookrealm.com/series/41389/0/dc-comics-star-trek-iii-the-search-for-spock-one-shot
and once as part of a movie special series here (as #NN): https://comicbookrealm.com/series/4519/0/dc-comics-star-trek-movie-special-mini Note that the two have slight cover variations in the price box.
Here is what I think it should be organized... The DC Star Trek series (1st Series) began publication and storyline after STII and ran up to Nov 1988 (right before STV came out). The ST III and ST IV movie adaptations were issued as the series overlapped with the movie releases. The ST III book was not numbered, but the STIV book was numbered as #2, implying that it and the ST III book were part of the same ST DC Movie Special series. So, either these two books (the two STIII variants and the STIV book) can be under their own Star Trek DC Movie Special Series or should be a subseries (i.e., Specials) under the Star Trek DC 1st Series listing.
The Star Trek V book is not part of the same series per se as the numbering on it reverts back to #1. This is because DC rebooted their Star Trek series continuity (2nd series) with the premiere of STV in Summer 1989. So the STV book would be better listed under the 2nd series as a Special.
Does this make sense?
