  • Cannot import a collection.
Suggestion: Ability to import data from CLZ or other methods. Even if not done on the app, the ability to do it on the web would be sweet as well.

On iPhone X (10) when I go to the search function and the keyboard pops up from the bottom but the search box stays at the bottom and I cannot see what I am typing in. If I type in what I want to search for and hit enter, it still works but you cant see what you are typing.
Suggestion: Move the search box to the top.

Ability to turn on and off entire series/volume within your collection.

Example with suggestion: I add a book such as Thanos #13 vol. 2 to my collection. At this point I have no idea how many other books there are in that series/volume. In order to find out within the app I need to go to the more tab, then press search, search for that series/volume, click on the right series/volume, then I can see what I have and don't have within that list. It would be awesome to be able to see the books I'm missing from within my own collection and have the option to add books from there as well when I get them. It could be as simple as an option to turn on and off the entire series/volume within your collections.

  • Thanks for the suggestions...

    1. Importing will never be possible. Every site has their own "ID" for a given comic and that is not exposed when exporting. We could build a "best guess" tool that you would still essentially have to go through one at a time and agree.

    2. I will look into the search bar placement. I do not have an iPhone at all.

    3. The app is not designed to replace the website and instead is a quick reference. There is a "Completion" report on the website that can show you what you have or what you are missing for a given series. Also I am not sure how you were able to add the comic to your collection without searching for it. You would then see how many comics there are, how many you own, etc.

  • Just wanted to give a little feedback from my maiden voyage this weekend. The app crashed when looking up books in my collection while I was searching back issues (wanted to make sure I didn't duplicate). Then later that evening I tried out the bar code scanner. The app closed out several times having to be restarted and had difficulty locking in on the UPC.

Don't worry though! I've been supporting CBR and singing it's praises as the best comic book database out there. Keep up the good work and I'll definitely keep supporting as best I can. Thanks!

  • I will check with the developer to see if they got any crash reports. What setup are you running? Devices and OS version? Are you talking about the iOS app or Android?

Apologies...been a crazy busy couple weeks. I'm running iOS 11.2.6 on an iPhone 7.

  • This is exactly the problem I have been having: the app crashes when I search from the screen that shows my piles. The other search works fine though. The program crashed using an iPhone 7 and now with my new iPhone 8.
