  • Has anyone else noticed their "On The Move" report not updating? Over the past ~14 days my collection has increased in value without me adding books at the same time, but there haven't been any new entries in that report for several weeks.

  • Could be we have just been adding values to books that have been sitting a 0$...so basically setting an initial value and not increasing a value that was already set.

  • i have explained this before, but will again...

    I am always updating values...most times with arrows because the book is hot, or cold arrows, because its cooling... but there is a middle ground... i call it upkeep values...so if i see a book settled from being hot...i dont do it where you will see arrows, because it isnt cooling off, its just leveling...there you wont see it on the OTM chart...but the value did change as upkeep... the reason i do this is because a LOT of people use these sites as price bibles (which is using it incorrectly, but to each their own) and for that reason i dont want to cause a spurt in buying a book for overvalued or incorrect pricing. I would rather be completely honest and transparent and if a book is leveling or if i am adding values to previous $0 books, there is no reason to highlight the book...

    that is why you see it changing, without seeing OTM report changing... hope that makes sense and you understand my logic here...

  • Sort of. Mine hasn't budged since mid-October as well, though my collection value keeps going up and down (mostly up-yay me). It's a bit annoying, even for those of us that don't use it as a "price bible" but are, perhaps, a bit OCD about knowing which books are doing well and which are not Very Happy

  • but thats the thing...lol...if values are moving like that, they arent going up or down necessarily, just upkeep...you would have a false sense of what is hot or cold, and that is what i am avoiding.
