  • Requirements:

There are really only four "requirements" for submitting a cover image.

    1. The image must be the highest quality image possible
    2. The image must be larger than 700px (750px if possible) high (image dimensions)
    3. The image must be smaller than 500kb (file size)
    4. The image must be "Pure" and contain no foreign markings

If your image meets the above requirements, then please upload the image. To see examples of why an image might not "pass", please see below.

    Uploading:

To upload an image, you need to locate the issue by searching for the series title. Once you have located the correct issue, click on the "No Image Currently Available - Upload New Image" link, browse for the image on your computer, and click on submit.

Once your image is approved, you shall receive point credit and it will be made available to the other members.

    Where to start:

There are two ways to obtain a cover. One is to scan the cover yourself. This is good as you know that it is the correct image for the issue you are dealing with. It also will help you incase you need to file against insurance incase your collection becomes damaged or lost. The other way to obtain a cover scan is to search the web. Using Google images you would probably be able to find almost every issue you could ever want. There are also numerious websites that exist and they will focus mainly on one character/universe. For instance there is one for Spider-Man, The X-Men, Batman, & Superman. There are also private collections that others have placed online. Just right click on an image that you find and save it to your computer. then upload it.

    Editing Software:

Here are a few links to some editing software that might help you get going:

    http://picasa.google.com/

    Examples:

The following is an example of a bad cover because it is contains "dead space" (Gray area) which is most often the result of the scanner. To pass, this image would need to be cropped.

    Image

The following is an example of a bad cover because it has been branded by another website. This image will never pass.

    Image

The following is an example of a bad cover because it has been autographed by one or more individuals. To pass, this image could only be uploaded for an approved signature edition.

The following is an example of a bad cover because it has sustained damage. This image will never pass.

    Image

The following is an example of a good cover because there are no "flaws". It has been cropped to remove any dead space, and contains no foreign markings.
