  • What happened with this comic? It suddenly went from $800 to $6750 in a year? That seems suspicious unless someone bought a bunch and set fire to them Smile

I did an ebay search and couldn't find a sold version that wasn't foreign, but still ... did someone actually see sales to validate this price hike? Seems like maybe a 9.8 CGC 'could' get that high but I know these prices don't reflect CGC [at least I think I'm remembering that correctly].

  • This book has been a thorn in our side for quite sometime... People arguing both sides of the value on this book so much so that Dough Boy said we are upping and leaving it to satisfy both sides essentially. Personally i hope the bottom falls out on this book, it has been a pain in the woohoo for too long lol... There is NO draw at all for this book other then being "rare" and i use quotes on the quotes lol...

If you are attempting to have a true guide, personal opinions should be left out. There is plenty of data out there to show that it's worth a lot more than $800 in NM raw.

  • No matter what, I still made a good profit on mine. Someone mentioned it here years ago and I looked at my online comic store, Atomic Empire, and they had it for $80 or something. I bought it and figured "Well maybe I should get all the covers for all ASM since I have one of the hardest ones to get".

Years later, and many dollars later, I realized having all the covers is purely a personal pride thing, there's really no resell value unless you happen to find that one other person that cares. And to compound that, they were getting ridiculous with the alternate covers so I dropped out and sold a lot of them, including my Dell'Otto. I'd rather spend my money trying to complete my ASM run than bother with other covers.

So this book has a story for me, but it's only one of many regrets .... another being, not buying Walking Dead #1s when it was $300 ["Oh that's definitely done climbing, no point buying now", said my younger naive self].

  • LMAO, i love how people with an opposite opinion as mine, thinks i should just be quiet and not give my opinion on a book that has NO REAL REASON to be valuable passed a few bucks... Seems oddly political doesnt it... I WILL give my opinion when asked thank you very much...

Personal opinions should not be used in determining a market price, only factual data points. Unless the guide does not reflect the market?
