  • The trailer for this is amazing. This is the next movie I am Highly excited about. Most of the people who Ive talked to that have seen the Dark Knight, and saw this trailer, dont know what it is aboutNot talking. Ive read that Alan Moore wrote this Graphic Novel intending to be so complex, that you couldnt make a movie of it. Most or All Alan Moore comic adaptations have been ruined by Hollywood, and from the looks of the trailer, this will finally change. Those Watchmen comics are hot right now.
Dont worry Ma'am, We're from the Internet.

  • yeah, there were a lot of people at my theater that had no idea what the watchmen trailor was about.
there were even some that were saying "not another superhero movie".
boy will they be surprized that it's not just some other superhero movie.

in fact, i've even started loaning out my watchmen tpb to the kids that work for me.
so far, 2 out of 3 have loved it.

  • no one at my theatre knows what it is eathier... which means more posters for me! Twisted EvilTwisted EvilTwisted Evil
it has a release date of March 9th, 2009 (just a month before my theatre closes, it wont come there, its a second run... but still, POSTERS)
Alan Moore is also VERY opposed to this movie, he stated quite clearly that he will 'never watch the thing'
he was also against the V for Vendetta movie, and that still turned out awesome...
this movie will be amazing beyond reason, but the cool thing is that it STILL wont live up to the comic
theres so many little details in the book that it cant be done...
you Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons and your awesomeness!

  • I was all set to boycott this movie. I mean - no WAY can someone film it. It's a COMICBOOK masterpiece. Film couldn't do it justice!

Then I saw the trailer. Applause

    Yeah. I'm there!

  • The Dark Knight set a high bar, but this adaptation of Watchmen looks like it should be solid. Who is directing this by the way? They need a good marketing campaign to Educate people about this Graphic Novel, and then the Movie. This is a Good Era for Comic Book films, because of all the new technology in computer graphics. I cant even Imagine the Iron Man movie that would have come out in the 80's. It would be some dude in a box with strings attached, swinging around a cloud background. Alan Moore is such a great writer, I wished they never him off the way they did. He could be writing and directing movies just like Frank Miller is doing now. I want a Swamp Thing movie directed by Alan Moore, now that would be something.

  • i believe dc is re-releasing the watchmen tpb and the absolute-slipcase version as well.

as i said before, i've been loaning out my tpb to people so they have an idea what that movie is about.
something other than "just another comic book movie"
