  • You're missing a couple I believe.
Fantastic Four by Roger Cormen (circa 1994?).
I also remember a Doctor Strange movie from the late '70s. Maybe it was a made for TV movie?

  • That FF4 movie does not count as it was never released. And yeah no made for TV movies...Just essentially Big Screen Blockbusters...(even though some were terrible lol)

  • Good list, Z, and fun fact indeed! They also made a (dreadful) Captain America movie back in the mid 1970's but I am pretty sure it was never released so your list remains intact!

  • Was that Cap movie with the Italian Red Skull? I saw it too, yuck.

  • I believe so, it was a long time ago.
Caps shield was made of plexiglass and was the windshield for his motorcycle. Laughing

  • After some homework I found two Captain America movies pre-2000.
The first one is the 1979 made for TV movie with the plexiglass shield and Cap "helmet". Yuck, for sure.
The second was the 1990 movie version (never released?) with the Italian Red Skull. Double yuck.

  • And didn't Howard the Duck have a movie?
    Tenzil
  • Posted: July 5, 2018 11:02:55 pm
  • Yes there was, but it was made and released by George Lucas' company so not sure that would count?

  • Our favorite Zombie said, "i don't mean made by them but rather labeled after its characters." By that criteria, if it was theatrically released, it has to count, which means The Infinity War was actually #50, unless there is another hidden gem we have yet to unearth. Right?

  • As much as I really disliked Howard The Duck The Movie, I think Tenzil is right!! That doesn't mean we should include gems like S.H.I.E.L.D. starring the Hof, though?
  • Posted: July 6, 2018 9:35:41 am
  • Wow that's a lot more than I initially thought. Gives me an idea for a movie marathon week.

  • Yup, Howard the Duck is missing from the list
  • Posted: July 6, 2018 12:26:35 pm
  • According to the good folks down there at WIKI HQ, the Hoff's version of Nicholas J Fury was a Made For TV movie and should not be included on the list. Props to my son, as well, who was the one who took one glance at the list and said, "Howard the Duck's not there!"

  • Howard the Duck is missing. That's a Lucasfilm production!

  • Yup!!! Good catch....Howard the Duck definitely belongs on this list. Avengers Infinity War was #50... I kinda hope there's more lol...I am going to buy the Blu-Ray to as many of these that have them and have a nice superhero movie section of my growing movie population lol...

  • Very nice list!
I am surprised to read the list and find out that I actually went to the theater and sat through half of the movies. And then reading the list I was surprised that I missed some of the others; such as Ghost Rider and fantastic four #2
  • Posted: August 12, 2018 3:57:45 pm
  • I would probably add Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer to the list, since Marvel held the comic book publishing rights when these films were released.
  • Posted: August 12, 2018 4:39:48 pm
  • Werent those made for tv movies?...they were before my time so i have no clue. At the same time i dont think i would add those to this list, but more of a list that includes comic books as a whole...(aka predator, toxic avenger, kick ass, etc.)

maybe ill work on a list like that next lol...

  • They were not made for TV. Full theatrical releases.
  • Posted: August 12, 2018 6:22:12 pm
  • While the Conan movies were definitely theatrical films if you include them you have to include at least the first three Star Wars movies if not John Carter, Warlord of Mars and the most recent Star Wars films as well. Marvel also adapted some Indiana Jones, James Bond and Star Trek films, so if you include one of those you have to include all.
