  • So, who's watching? I've seen the first three episodes and have not been that impressed. My favourite aspect has been that the scenery is visually stunning. I find it funny that everyone living on Krypton in the past had strong English accents. What's with that? Any comments and/or criticisms?

  • I've been watching, it's pretty good.
But I'm not really too familiar with the DC history so not sure if this is all new material or is it following something done in the comics?
So the main character is Superman's grandpa right?
I think the reason for the english accents is that it's coming out of the UK.
I find it interesting that the Kryptonians are for the most part poor and oppressed.

  • Saw the first episode and don't plan on watching anymore. Not a fan of 100 BC architecture and poor lighting mixed with high tech technology.

  • Yeah it's pretty nice visually. I've watched the episodes so far...I like the concept mostly, but it probably would have made more sense as a 6 episode miniseries with the "we must save time" story, rather than all the politicking.

  • The first ep. was okay but I'm not going to watch anymore. I hate the fact that DC keeps tiptoeing around their main characters; like Gotham or Smallville. I've read that they are going to make an Alfred series. So lame.Sad

I don't see the appeal of any series that dances around the important characters. In all honesty, most DC characters are lame to me anyway.

  • I didn't watch the first season, but I will tune in for season two because Lobo is supposed to be part of it. In fact, The Main Man is supposed to be the main villain for season two. That's what I read.
I'm the best there is at what I do. And what I do best is buy/sell comics.

Placing my bet now (based on the overall tone of Krypton so far) that this version of Lobo will be closer to the New 52 Lobo than The Main Man.
Favorite Characters: Lone Ranger, Green Hornet, Captain America, The Shadow, Zorro, The Rocketeer, Jonah Hex

You may be right, but boy I hope you're wrong. EmoBo is not my cup of tea.

  • As a giant Lobo fan I am very giddy. I was super-pissed with the direction of Lobo by DC comics recently (Emobo as logerine puts it). The worse thing I read in the article is: "Warner Bros. Pictures is developing Lobo as a possible directing vehicle for Michael Bay".
Michael "blow shit up" Bay is NOT the right director for Lobo!!!!!!!!!!!

I just spit out my coffee, even though I am not drinking any. Cracked me up.
Alas, I have not seen this one yet. Being predominately a Marvel man, I have been on the slow boat to watching the DC series. Gotham is pretty much the extent of it, and didn't keep up after about the 3rd season. I actually just started on the Flash series, and got 3-4 episodes in on season one. Not too bad so far. I need to check out Arrow as well. If all goes well, I will eventually wander over to check out Krypton. Lobo is an interesting character as it is. Let's see if they can replicate his persona on the tube.

  • The CW shows turned me off because of the idiotic cliffhanger endings every season and the inclusion of gay characters in every show. The only show I'm watching now is The Gifted, which is not based on DC characters obviously. I might watch Legends of Tomorrow & Black lightning, but definitely not the rest. I don't have Netflix, so I don't see their programs... and I'm not going to shell out the money to get them. .

    STRONGLY AGREE.

  • I tried watching it and got to the 5th episode and was like, "why am I even watching this? Do I really need to know about these characters?" I just feel like being invested in Krypton is sort of pointless. They should have done this show based on Jor El, Superman's father. That's the story I think fans really want to see.
