  • Time is on our side, my friends. We strive to do it right the first time, but we can do and undo changes until we decide what right is.

  • Is there a way to identify the variants - other than looking each up on the site and comparing the covers? That gets tiring and may also be confusing with the cover similarities. Like, is there a code on the publication script?

  • Are you talking about how to catalog which variant you have on CBR? If it's not cover specific, you can check the fine print inside the comic (the indicia), and determine if you have a 1st print, 2nd print, etc.

If you're trying to tell the difference between variants on CBR, there should be a description. If you're not in the description window, but the new release report or something, you can hover over the variant # and a description should pop up.

  • Basically how to tell which variant it is for adding to Master Pile. In the description of X-Men v2 # 1, it just lists it as issues number 1. With 5 variations, I had to compare each with the cover shown for matching variant to put in correctly.

  • This X-Men #1? It has a description. Each of the variants have a description also, so if you don't want to load them, you can hover over them and it will pop up faster.

That's the fastest way to do it. The letters don't necessarily mean anything, although some publishers (Devil's Due, IDW or Dynamite, I think) will list them on their site by A, B, C, etc.
