  • If I spend 56,000 points on the auction this year, will I have to start saving from zero next year?

  • Well...let me rephrase that as "If I spend this $20 I have can I spend the same $20 next time?". Wink

  • Correct.

Well that, and I like having that many points, even if it has nothing to do with an auction. So even if I can't spend that "$20" next year, will I still have the points somewhere?

I think a Total Earned Points & Total Usable Points would be appreciated. Total Earned Points would only go up with every action I do, Total Usable Points would go up and then down when I spend some on the auction. That way I could keep the cred' but still spend the points. (and then we wouldn't be re-spending the same points year after year. I know some might get mad at me for pointing out the loop hole, if that's what it was, but I think this is the fairest way... then again, I could just be misunderstanding the whole thing)

  • I keep track of both. In the database it stores how many total points you have always earned. I then have a separate field where I keep track of your spent points. Total - spent = available for auction. The box on the home page tells people how many points each person has to spend on the auction. Your realm shows your total points earned.

No gaming the system here. Shame on you

  • Glad to hear it.

I guess I didn't realize the box on the home page was like that since I only got on it since I hit 40k. I guess I just assumed it was for 40k+ members.
