  • In each users realm in the stats at the bottom of the page are "Free Days Earned". When you contribute information (or money, money's a nice contribution!), you not only earn points to use the pile export feature and annual auction, you also earn free days. What are Free Days, many people ask?

For the time being, Dough Boy can run the site off advertising revenue and contributions from members like you. In the future if it made sense for CBR to charge, your contributions won't be forgotten! Every time you upload a cover, post to a forum, or send some money Dough Boy's way, you're putting off that day when you'll actually have to pay for CBR. It's like being paid to contribute to CBR. And you don't lose your free days when you spend them on the annual auction. Quite a deal, yes?

  • what happens if your renewal date comes up?
do we have to do anything?

  • If your renewal date comes up, that just means if CBR did start charging, you'd have to pay from the date it starts charging instead of having a little lead time. Dough Boy says don't have to renew and you won't get locked out for the time being.

This just in: You start out with a one year grace period from sign up. Every 50 points you accumulate buys you another day. Pass it on.

  • so if it comes up we can just ignore it?
    for the time being anyway.

if our renewal date passes and dough boy decides to charge, would our free days earned then kick in and give us a little more time?

  • Yeah, you can ignore it. Let Dough Boy know if it causes problems.

You start out with a one year grace period, so if you don't contribute in that year, I think that's it. Once all the details and covers have been submitted, I'm sure Dough Boy will come up with some other contributions you can make. Anyone good at foot massages? Twisted Evil
