  • I started working on a quick "indexing" tool. I was tired of going issue to issue to update commong things like cover price and cover date.

This should speed up the process a little bit.

You should see next to the Title a button/link that says "Quick Index".

As always please let me know if there are things to improve or that don't work.

  • Looks good, and very useful.

One thing I noticed, When I went to take a butchers at Invincible in "Quick Index" it automatically checked all the tick boxes of the issues I don't own...

    is this done on purpose?

  • actually, looking at it, it's all variant issues that are checked.

(I have not put any ticks there, they were present when the page loaded)

  • Yeah, that is correct.

Anything that is not issue #1 (i.e. #50) is a variant, i.e. 2nd+ printing, variant cover, etc. is flagged as a "variant".

We can use this to filter out "duplicates", etc.

  • Nice feature DB,

BUT, i think we need to break it down and not show the whole list of issues. Maybe 100 or 200 at a time. I was just working on BATMAN and it took literally 7-10 mins for the update to process. That is my computer was locked up for that period of time. On other series it didnt take that long but i think that was do to the number of issues.

    Thanks
    tim
You build your collection one book at a time and day by day it seem to stay the same. Then one day KA BLAM it gotten out of control. Thanks mom I love you.

  • I agree with the above. I wanted to make some updates to action comics and it never went through as the browser crashed before finishing (or maybe I got impatient Whistle)
Not collecting any more but I still enjoy comics now and then...

  • Yeah I noticed it as well...I will have to do it page by page (just like the listing).
