  • Congrats on the new job DB! What do others do for work around here?

    Myself, I work as a medical lab technologist. I work in a microbiology lab and look for bad bacteria and viruses and provide reports to the doctor so they can diagnose and treat. Have to say I really love my job....especially because it provides fuel (money) for my comic reading/collecting! Smile

  • I work for a wholesale grocery company, the pay isn't to bad but I have a wife and two childern and that takes alot of my extra spending money. d'oh! But I wouldn't trade them for the world, once I retire in about 20 years I will be able to get back in with both feet. Whistle

    My wife is a semi-retired Histology Lab Technologist, for 40+ years. Cutting and staining biopsies for readings for diseases. She loves it. Even retired last year, she still works 5-7 days a month filling in for sick and vacationing staff.

    The joy is in the journey, not just the destination.
