  • I understand this site needs to have advertisers to keep this free....
but PLEASE lift up the preview section near the top of the page again.
It seems to get lower and lower every week. It's a great feature, whereas the who has what on ebay I could care less about!
    My 2c.

  • Well...ComicBookRealm.com gets paid when people click on and bid on auctions. Also the only way auctions will show up here is if they are advertising ComicBookRealm.com in their description.

I can understand the concern, but that module only changes at most once every few days, but generally only on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday. There is no reason to have it higher up when you can go to the previews page in the navigation, subscribe to the Previews RSS feed or see them in your Facebook news stream when they are added.

  • See, that's why my opinion was only worth 2c!
    Thanks for the reply.
I'll try using the nav bar at the top!

  • Personally I would use something like Google Reader and subscribe to the Previews RSS. Then you can be notified when there are new previews (and selectively view them).

  • I'm going to listen to the expert.
Can you pretend I'm a moron and walk me thru how I go about implementing your idea.

  • My setup involves:

    Google Chrome (browser) - http://www.google.com/chrome
    Google Reader - http://www.google.com/reader
Google Reader Extension for Chrome - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apflmjolhbonpkbkooiamcnenbmbjcbf
    ComicBookRealm.com Previews RSS - http://comicbookrealm.com/rss/previews

You can use Reader without the extension and without Chrome. Just ultimately need to have a Google G-Mail account.

Basically Google Reader allows you to subscribe to feeds from anyone producing them. ComicBookRealm.com has 4 (http://comicbookrealm.com/rss). You can subscribe to ComicBookResources, Newsarama, CNN, etc. The Extension puts a nice icon at the top of your screen letting you know when you have new items to read. You can choose to read them, or mark all as read etc. Basically it makes checking your favorite sites easier.
