• Hi Group,

I used to collect quite a bit but have not for several years. What I havE is 98% amazing spider-man. i have issues ranging from #7 thru #500 (or somewhere around there) that range in condition. I also have ultimate spiderman #2 thru 50 (or so).

my question is - is cgc the only way to go when trying to sell comics? or could i expect to get a good, reasonable price from the older scale - m, nm, vf, f, vg, g, etc. thanks.

  • THat depends. For CGC books there is no question about condition , but to CGC that many books will cost you (just a guess) half of what you will make. it is expensive. if you know grading and can grade acurately then the old way is just as good and you dont have to pay for grading services, but if you over grade and sell a few books you might get some backlash from the people you sold to and find it difficult to move the rest of you books.

Having said that i would be interested in some or your amazing spiderman. Number 20 for starters, as i need 3 books to complete my amazing series #1.

    Thanks Very Happy

  • Usually a good picture of the front and back of your comic helps sell them without you having to grade them. The buyers can see for themselves what they are buying.

If you want to grade your comics and don't know how go here. It's a free comic grading tool. It's not perfect but very good.

  • Hi, I noticed that you were selling some of your Amazing Spider-Man comics. Do you have #'s 50, 129, 134, 135, 162, 174, 175, 194, 201, 202, 252, 284, 430, and 431? If so, whats the condition of them and how much are you asking for them?
