- It's been a few years since the wife banned from going to the comic book store. As a primarily DC fan who stopped collecting about 5 years ago have I missed much? I hear they're doing some screwey things with the characters these days. I can expect that from marvel I was only reading maybe 3 marvel books when was banned

- As an older fan of DC Comics (and many more) the one thing I've noticed over the years is the constant re-booting, which gets a little annoying after the 5th, 6th or 7th time. Batman always seems to stay around 35 years old (he's not the only one) even though the character has been around over 75 years. No, I don;t want to see a 75 year old Batman using a cane trying to track down the Penguin and slipping and breaking his hip. There has to be some kind of compromise, no?
I'm more sore that the DC and Marvel Editors want to pander to the youth when we all know that the kids these days don't really read, let alone comic book reading. It's the over 40 crowd that buys comic books, yet we aren't taken care of. Seems very strange to me.

- In the world of DC, Batman had a GREAT run last year with an awesome writer (Tynion) who has sadly (but good for him) left DC to give more time to the independent titles that he owns.
I like what is happening with Wonder Woman. There has long been a "Superman Family" and "Batman Family" where the supporting characters around the main character are also strong standalone characters in their own right, but now I feel like the "Wonder Woman Family" is actually becoming a thing with multiple characters in their own new series and crossover events coming (love Yara Flor and the Esquecida tribe).
I don't know if you were into the old DC comic Checkmate, but they recently brought it back. It's got less of the secret agent/spy feel to it, which was a disappointment to me, but there are some fun surprises.Did I err?

- I really more of a Marvel fan, but DCeased was excellent and I enjoyed all of the spinoffs. If you missed Justice or Kingdom Come I recommend picking those up(older series but excellent) as well.
