  • I got all new long and short boxes for my entire collection. I went though and inventoried my entire collection. Along the way I bagged and triple boarded every comic with new bags and boards. During the inventory process, I alternated each comic, front to front and back to back. I was tired of looking at comics that were in old bags that were wrinkled or completely dirty with 4 or 5 pieces of tape to hold the bag closed. Some of my old boxes were brown and looked like they were water damaged and I replaced them. That got me thinking how well does other people take care of their collections? I would like to here both the good and bad about everyone's collection. In the future I am thinking of going to the Heavy duty, acid-free plastic long and short boxes with dividers.

  • If I am keeping the books for my PC, I go with:

    BCW 2mil mylar
    Half back acid free boards
    Blue tape for the back
Microchamber paper for newsprint books (this is a refit as I have time and money)
Replacing cardboard boxes with plastic ones (lighter, stronger, acid free) - again as I have time and money
A gentle pressing if needed (I own a press)
No cleaning beyond gently erasing a light pencil mark

    And that's about it.
