- Who is ready for some NFL Football?
Share your thoughts and excitement on this thread. Lets keep this one going all season! Post away!!
I have my Colts making the playoffs this year and here is why. We do not need Manning to win games. Our Defense will be one of the more solid defenses this year and because Manning is out that is why we will do better. Collins will carry the Colts with an even balance of the run and pass something which Manning has not figured out how to do. The Colts will be in the playoffs this year and Manning should be back in time for the playoffs to take us to the Super Bowl. Collins knows the divisional teams in depth and thus one reason why he was chosen to be pulled out of retirement because he knows the AFC South. The Texans will give my Colts a run for their money for the division title but the Colts assuming they win their division which they should will be in the Playoffs. Playoff positioning is another issue but I will worry about that later. Depending on how tomorrows game goes against the Texans that game will determine who will be in control of the Division early on.

Ouch, it hurts to read this after their debut game
I think the Colts are done w/o Peyton, he was too important to the offense. I think he knew more than the coaches. My team is the Steelers but they got whooped on today too. First game jitters hopefully, for both our teams.

I am hoping the Colts will be able to come back. They looked horrible. I turned it off before halftime as I could not watch any more. I was shocked about the Steelers today as well. It has been an interesting week to say the least. The Colts division is not hard to win so they still have a good shot of making the playoffs due to that fact. They need to put a win streak together and let Manning rest. I am inpressed with how the Cowboys are playing the Jets now. I am pulling for the Cowboys (not a fan). I also enjoy watching the 49ers and keep an eye on the Chiefs. I was a HUGE Montana fan. I am sick hearing about the Super Bowl thats all I have heard since the last one because we are hosting the Super Bowl this year. How did you become a Steelers fan living in MO?

I think that the Lions will be doing pretty good this year. Tough division but they have the fundamentals in place for a winning season. Don't lose faith in them yet. I have not seen the highlights from the game but from what I understand they looked great. Not sure about Oakland though I am not that familiar with them. I like the Lions QB, RB and WR they have they are really good.

I started watching/following them in '86 because I liked their uniforms and thought it was cool that their helmet only had the emblem on one side, unlike the other teams. Strange, I know. My older brother also said they looked cool, so of course that meant it was true to me.
About the NFL, I basically just watch games now .. . I can't keep track of the players. When I was a kid, I could name every starting QB, RB, and a few WR, and even backup QBs. Now I can't keep track of anything with everyone switching teams every year. Same with every sport.
