  • Wow, I'm really saddened to hear the news. 68 isn't all that old these days.

Peter David did more for Marvel's Incredible Hulk storyline than anyone else. No one will ever top his 100+ issue run. From the savage Hulk to Mr. Fixit to the Professor Hulk and beyond, Mr. David was the man when it came to writing Bruce Banner, his alter ego and supporting cast.

I agree 100%! think of him as the definitive Incredible Hulk Writer, akin to Chris Claremont on X-Men. He wrote a lot of good stuff that wasn't the Hulk, as well. I would say he was one of my favourite writers. Very sad news! I was hoping to meet him sometime. Quite a shock! Sad

  • So sorry to hear about this. I agree wholeheartedly with brucifer and Yoshi about him being the definitive Hulk writer. I even have a novel he wrote (not superhero related). RIP Peter.

  • This hits hard. The man was a legend. Right up there with Jim Shooter, Chris Claremont, and others who defined Marvel Comics in the 1980s. I loved Peter David's work on the Joe Fixit/Grey Hulk stories of that time period.
