- Howdy!
As a fan of the character, I am personally not impressed by this. I like Doctor Strange for exactly the reasons opposite what they are proposing to do. I do not know, but I guess if it gets more people liking the character that is important. I just hope they do not forgo what made so many of us fans in the past.

All said, I will definitely hold off my feelings until I can actually see the book and read the story. Until then, I am skeptical. Anyone else of thoughts on the revamping of this character?

- I like how they said that they were going to show that he has repercussions if he uses his power wrongly. He is an insanely powerful character and one of my favorites. I am going to wait until it comes out to judge it. I'm just glad he is getting a series.

Ditto. I am more concerned with the idea that he is more action based. I get that is maybe necessary for the movie franchise, but I also think they could focus on his mystical arts and those effects could be equally impressive. I just hope the don't make him an uber martial artist or some traditional weapon. His arsenal is already vast.
Still, I am thrilled to see him in his own series again and will withhold judgement until I can actually read the book. Who knows, it might be an awesome take on him

HA!
Then I want to see them replace Mr. Toad's Wild Ride with Doctor Strange's Wild Ride. We would be square

- I am always willing to give the creators a chance. I agree it would be best if he did not become the second incarnation of Shang-Chi, though he'd be a most welcome team up, but a little more action than he normally sees might be all right.

I can agree with that. I never felt that there was anything lacking, but if I honestly view it as a film property it makes much more sense. I also agree that would not like to see him become Shang-Chi, but maybe his magic becomes more aggressive and less 'trippy' which would make sense. After all, Harry Potter had some actions scenes that were just mage versus mage, same with LotR.
But I will wait and see what new direction they are taking the good doctor to make an informed opinion
Always nice having you chime in!
