Still working on organization of my piles/titles to make the collection viewing flow better. Other than Spidey up top, newest pile edits are at the bottom. (Except Thor, somewhere in the middle). Doing a little at a time, as it is a tad tedious.

Immortal Hulk interest.

This may be blasphemy here, but I have never really been a Hulk fan.  I mean, Banner gets angry, and out comes the Hulk.  Pretty predictable stuff there.

That is until I picked up an issue of the Immortal Hulk.  The regular cover to #10 with the "green door" really caught my eye and I picked it up.  I started chatting with the manager of the lcs, of how I really didn't have many Hulk books, but this cover really blew me away.  He gave me a pretty informative run down on this new title, and recommended the Best Defense Immortal Hulk book as a good step on point.

If you haven't read the Immortal Hulk yet, I don't want to spoil everything for you.  I will tell you, this is a whole different take on the character.  Very dark, very violent, and from what I have read thus far, very interesting!

  • I've never really been a big fan of Hulk either, but the fantastic cover to Immortal Hulk #1 caught my eye and I've been on board ever since. I really enjoy how they're leaning hard into the Jekyll & Hyde Horror of two people sharing the same body. I definitely second your opinion that even if you're not a fan, check this one out!

That is really awesome that you are not only in the same boat with the thinking here, but have also jumped on from point one. The dichotomy is really chilling and I think this book will get more followers as it progresses.

  • As someone who IS a Hulk fan, I admit to missing the boat on this one. There have been so many re-boots and derivative stuff lately, I didn't bother giving Immortal Hulk a try. I have been hearing so many great things lately, I'm sure I will be changing that tune very soon. Al Ewing is an underrated writer that has done some great stuff in the past few years, but no title really stuck around for long. I hope this book will put him on the map as a talent to watch for a long time to come.
