here we go

so it's a week before the holidays, and i've got my shopping just about done (just need to get my wife something...). so now it's time to get back to the book, the finishing of the book, the publishing of the book. still can't say much, but i can at least tell you why.

we're about to register for our copyright on the book idea. once that is done, then i will feel a bit safer about opening up with the plot, characters etc. a little bit. all i have to do is get to kinko's tomorrow and scan this piece of art (it's too big for my scanner) that i want to send in with it. concept art for some of the symbols in the book.
brett and i have decided that a comic book may not be the best format to start with, mostly because my initial artist seems to have moved on to better things... i guess he has, i haven't talked to him in two months. i see him on facebook, facebooking about, but he doesn't have anything to say to me... so like i said, a book-book, instead of a comic book. i've got another friend who offered to draw a few pics for the book, Dark Tower style. we all like this idea. then, down the road, if anyone likes it, we can discuss comic-bookifying it.

so much to do as this new year begins. the book, the other book, and the game. i've begun concepting a game as well as a book, and i really think it could hold its own against the other games out there. see my forum post here:

again, i don't want to reveal too much, but hopefully in the weeks to come we'll have something to show for it. also, i'm taking suggestions for a publishing house name. something to stamp on the book and the game, something that represents the people responsible for it. any suggestions?

i wish the happiest of holidays to everyone, whatever holidays you celebrate. if you don't celebrate, well then i wish you the best anyway.

i wish the safest of new years for anyone who is traveling or going out. if you don't go out on new years, then you're actually better off. new years eve is amateur night, in my opinion.
