Batman's New Ride
So I got wind that it was going to be on display for a few hours early today at a local theater.
Lucky for me I was going to work from home and this theater is near me (where I see most of my movies anyways).
I grabbed my camera and headed over. You can see the photo gallery here: Batman's Bat-Pod Gallery
I must say I was expecting more. While it is cool and all to see this up close, it just didn't look like much. I don't know if that means that the version we see in the movie has had a lot of CGI enhancements or what.
It would have been nice to see someone ride it...but I guess that would have been a liability.
It does look like it would be a lot more comfortable than riding a normal motorcycle. I have never understood why people want to ride those things anyways. It just looks like their backs are hurting...especially those bikes that have really "tall" handle bars. My arms get tired just looking at them.
This one you lay down on so that would make it easier to be on long periods of time...however keeping your head tilted up might be a drawback as well.
It looks like something that was built at American Chopper and something that will eventually be in Jay Leno's collection.
Anyways...go check out the pics and then check out the movie on July 18th!
