Programmer by day, comic nerd by night. My official job title is "Director of Janitorial Engineering"
Geek Fuel is a subscription service that sends you a box of goodies every month. I recently received my box and wanted to share my experience with you. The price of the box for just a one month trial is just shy of $24 (including shipping). There are other plans (3, 6, 12) months that offer additional savings. Each month you receive a box with lots of cool swag to decorate your crib with. Each box guarantees that it will be worth at least $50. See each item below and my review at the bottom. Also check out the exclusive contest where you can win a copy of the Civil War variant. You can also save $5 buy signing up through the official ComicBookRealm link!
The box is perfectly sized to house all of the contents. It is just larger than a comic book. It is also bright red and advertises Geek Fuel
An extra nice touch is that the contents are wrapped in another Geek Fuel branded wrapper. Most boxes I have seen the contents are just there.
All items are carefully packed to fit within the box and to help minimize damage during shipping.
This month's box contained a mini-magazine with extra geeky related information
There also was a Dark Horse Vampirella/Aliens Poster
There is a $10 coupon to download the Burnstar game from steam
For those who like to drink there is a shot glass
For those that collect buttons there is a Serenity button. Admittedly I am not a fan and I think it is just a filler to raise the "value" of the box.
This month was a fun t-shirt paying homage to the Tour de France.
An exclusive cover to Civil War #1. Geek Fuel was nice and bagged/boarded AND provided a COA for it.
Ultimately this was a fun box to open. It had a lot of different things in it. If you would like to participate in Geek Fuels offering take advantage of our exclusive link where you can save $5. Also be sure to enter the contest below to try and win one of the exclusive covers.
