I have been a major fan of his books since Wizards First Rule, so after reading that whole-series and feeling disapointed that it ended, I was surpriced to see he had wrote a new book that acorrding to the dust jacket goes in a different direction. Terry Goodkind's book The Law of Nines, does take the reader a whole other way.. I was reading though the first couple chapters about a typical young buding artist, who has just turned 27 years old. So as I'm reading the story it at that time it seems rather typical,. Boy notices girl, boy saves girl from speeding van, girl has secret but can't tell him at that time, girl suddenlly disappears, men are out to kill him, girl sudden reappears in time to save him. You know typical thriller stuff. Then,WHAM,"whole nother level". The lead character just happens to be a 'Rahl'. So Goodkind take his stories to the modern day, in a fantastic thriller with a fantasy twist. Very good read and I hope this might be a new series for Goodkind and his chacters Alex Rahl and Jax.... and get this.... Amnhell. Edge of your seat and super fast for a relativly large book.
