INFERNO by Larry Nivin and Jerry Pournelle An ORB Book 1976. You know how some things , at the time, seem like a good idea. For Allen Carpentier this is not one of those times. After falling off a 8 story balcolny to his death, he finds himself in the waiting room of . He finds himself wanting to ecape, but a writers curiosity wants to know more about where he has landed. Allen has to to travel though all Nine Layers of to escape, but the more he goes the more he wants to know. He has a traveling companion, who at first is only known as Benito, it is latter found out that it is realy none other than Benito Mussolini. This is a very interesting if not wierd romp thru the netherworld with cicles of based in the modern times. Enjoyable and funny at times, I will pick up the next book that just came out, some 24 years latter. RATING *** out 5.
