"It's not about the value of comics; it's about what comics I like..."

Collecting comics off & on for 40+ yrs.; Collecting again after 2009. And it all started for me by reading a small Peanuts digest in 1968...:)

Little late for the update to this blog; moving to one place to the other takes a lot out of me.

Now, the skinny....

On March 17th, the seller FINALLY responded, only after eBay possibly had a few words with him.  Seems that he (seller) had shipped the item by TRUCK rather than AIR!  Going on with the story, on the same day(March 20th) that a refund was put into my account, there was a knocking on my front door; the mailman hands me the item I was waiting for..IDK...a month & a half?

Looking at the package, I wasn't happy.  The box looked like it had been through postage & back numerous times, with ink stamps all over it.  I shook the box; & could hear the the books moving about, so I KNOW the books weren't packed properly.  I immediately took the item back to my nearest post office & shipped the item back to the seller.  After that action, I e-mailed the seller, letting him know that his item is on its way back to him.  Haven't heard from him to this day.

I don't know who to blame; the seller or the post office.  But I've been refunded, & learned a lesson after this experience.  Here's my dos centavos tips:

1) If the seller has less than 50 feedbacks, I won't bite(even if they have a 100% rating).

2) Make sure they respond every time you send a e-mail.

Comments are always welcome.  Thanx for listening.

  • i would have been too tempted to keep the books as they were and gladly accept the refund.

  • The temptation was there, 1573; but I remembered that old adage, "Two wrongs doesn't make it right", plus, I wouldn't want this situation to escalate further. The money was returned; I'll settle for that. Now there's one final decision concerning the feedback I need to leave- neutral or negative?

    • for me it would be negative. buti would mention that seller gave a full refund.
