Collecting comics off & on for 40+ yrs.; Collecting again after 2009. And it all started for me by reading a small Peanuts digest in 1968...:)
O. K. Have to get this off my chest; the more that I think about the situation, the more angry I get.
On Feb. 25th, I had just won an eBay auction item which consisted of the first 20 issues of What If...V.1, in VG condition. The result: $10.50 cost; $10.00 S&H. "Seller" resides in California.
Whenever I win an auction, & at the VERY end of that auction, I pay the seller by PayPal immediately, so there are no screw-ups on my end.
Shift to March 4th; I receive an e-mail from eBay stating that the "seller" has JUST NOW shipped the item my way....
It has now been 6 days from that shipping date. Not a package, not a word. Methinks I have been played for a fool.....
On eBay, seeing certain sellers overprice their books is one thing, even hilarious; but not to send them at all after being sent payment is, IMHO, "pure evil". I'm very sure that I can recover my monetary loss through eBay's Buyer Protection Program in short time, but to me, it's the principle.
Have any members here suffered the same fate? And if so, how was justice dispensed?
