  1. Retro Reviews - Captain America #193

    on Aug 8, 2018 1:50:00 am - 262 views | 0 comments
Part of the fun of these "Retro Reviews" of older single comics in my collection is that I have the opportunity to learn a little something about the history of comics in the process. I came to the collecting part of comics a bit late in the game. . .the reading part started in the 70's but the carefully storing them in bags, boards, and...

  3. Legion of Superheroes: Week Thirty

I’m so confused. Yes, I’m late getting this week’s Legion ramble posted. For the past twenty-nine weeks straight, I was able to cobble together a blather of disjointed sentences in a reasonably coherent form. This week I just couldn’t keep the streak going. I’ve decided that I get a mulligan. Won’t happen again…...

I have always noticed that this book has never been listed in the inventory. Rock and Roll Biographies # 1 Slayer Convention Metal Exclusive . This book has rarely ever been seen anywhere even on e-bay. No one seems to know nothing about the print run of this book neither. I am very proud to say that I have the only CGC graded 9.8 in the world.

  6. Longbox Junk - One Shots: Movie Madness Special!

    on Jul 28, 2018 2:10:00 am - 320 views | 1 comments
One Shots! I have a great love for the condensed storytelling of the one shot. They are without a doubt my favorite kind of comic book. Creators are tasked with the challenge of telling a complete story in ONE issue. Some rise to the occasion. . .some don't. So you never know what you're gonna get. For this batch of one shots, I decided to go with a bit of a...

  7. Legion of Superheroes: Week Twenty-Nine

Whenever I come across a fellow Legion fan (which I am oft to do), they usually say to me: “Yeah, it’s a really good show!” or, “Do you know when season three is coming on?” To that, I reply: “I didn’t know the Legion of Superheroes had a television program.” And then, they say: “What’s a Legion of...

  8. The comic book that might be deeper than we think

    on Jul 19, 2018 8:15:00 pm - 148 views | 0 comments
I picked up from my Local book shop a copy of Unnatural #1 (Image comics). I don't want to spoil anything to anyone but it tells the story of a half human half pig lady in a world of furries where each specie should only mate with their own. While the obvious criticism of prejudice is in your face from page 3 onwards, and actually sometimes borderline TOO...

  10. Longbox Junk - The Falcon

    on Jul 18, 2018 2:25:00 am - 270 views | 0 comments
I really like The Falcon as a character. I'm gonna step outside the lines here and admit that I REALLY liked Sam Wilson as Captain America and was pretty disappointed that Marvel didn't have the guts to hold the line on keeping Steve Rogers an old man passing the shield on to a worthy successor. THAT SAID. . . The Falcon has always had a bit of a problem...
