  1. A Return to Comic Book Collecting - Part 1

    on Aug 18, 2018 8:05:00 am - 147 views | 4 comments
I don’t remember exactly what my first comic book was. I do know that some of my earliest books were masterpieces like Blue Beetle and Son of Ambush Bug. Not exactly classics, but those books got me hooked on a brand new hobby. i couldn’t get enough. As soon as I had a couple of bucks in my pocket, I headed to the mall, Paper Tiger usually, and grabbed...

  3. Legion of Superheroes: Week Thirty-Two

Consider the Moon. Earth’s closest celestial body. It’s just a hunk of inhospitable rock, sure; but the Moon is an important part of our every-day lives. It commands the tides, illuminates us in the darkest hours, and provides a wealth of information regarding the nature of the universe. We make calendars based on its relation to the sun. Even beyond...

As you are likely aware about a month ago we released our Exclusive Amazing Spider-Man #1 cover .  We had always decided that we would destroy a large portion of the leftovers for a few reasons: We do not want to have to store them We do not want to flood the market with them We want to increase the value of the book for those that have supported us...

  5. Retro Reviews - Captain America #193

    on Aug 8, 2018 1:50:00 am - 176 views | 0 comments
Part of the fun of these "Retro Reviews" of older single comics in my collection is that I have the opportunity to learn a little something about the history of comics in the process. I came to the collecting part of comics a bit late in the game. . .the reading part started in the 70's but the carefully storing them in bags, boards, and...

I’m so confused. Yes, I’m late getting this week’s Legion ramble posted. For the past twenty-nine weeks straight, I was able to cobble together a blather of disjointed sentences in a reasonably coherent form. This week I just couldn’t keep the streak going. I’ve decided that I get a mulligan. Won’t happen again…...

I have always noticed that this book has never been listed in the inventory. Rock and Roll Biographies # 1 Slayer Convention Metal Exclusive . This book has rarely ever been seen anywhere even on e-bay. No one seems to know nothing about the print run of this book neither. I am very proud to say that I have the only CGC graded 9.8 in the world.

  10. Longbox Junk - One Shots: Movie Madness Special!

    on Jul 28, 2018 2:10:00 am - 225 views | 1 comments
One Shots! I have a great love for the condensed storytelling of the one shot. They are without a doubt my favorite kind of comic book. Creators are tasked with the challenge of telling a complete story in ONE issue. Some rise to the occasion. . .some don't. So you never know what you're gonna get. For this batch of one shots, I decided to go with a bit of a...
