  1. Weird Kiwi Blog #2 - Burn him! He's not a true comic fan!

    on Apr 6, 2009 7:10:00 pm - 624 views | 6 comments
The title actually has nothing to do with the content, but I had nothing interesting to put there. I've realised - I've been buying comics for 6 or 8 weeks and not reading any of them. My "to read" list must be getting quite long. Don't get me wrong. I want to read them. But the issue is that I'm studying so all my reading time has been taken up by...

Hey out there, As most of you know or well the Marvel collectors know that back the in the 1974 - 1976, Marvel ran a promotional progrom known as Marvel Value Stamps, Series A and Series B. These stamps are the bane of many a collector including me. I recently found this web site dedicated to Marvel Stamps. http://www.mvstamps.com/introduction.htm With...

I am looking forward to this new series that will be in my LCS tommorow. I can't wait to have all my pressing questions surrounding the return of Barry Allen as the flash answered like, when, where, why, and how. The art looks really good on this first issue, I will be sharring my feelings about this issue on here, and I'm curious to know what Flash fans on here are...

Howdy to you all for part 1 in my blog thingies. These may be regular or they may not depending on how I feel. To start with I thought I'd share how much I pay for comics compared to you North Americans. Well, most on this site are from that part of the world anyway. Due to the exchange rate fluctuations and shipping costs for my LCS, currently I pay...

  5. Ebay Friend Or Foe?

    on Mar 28, 2009 8:45:00 pm - 489 views | 6 comments
First off I have to admit I am guilty of buying some comics off ebay. I am pretty torn about the whole thing because they make it so easy to get exactly what you want. On the other hand alot of them are also greedy bastards and want you to pay way over what something may be worth, not to mention the crazy shipping costs. It can be more than what you paid for the book!...

  6. Toon Town

    on Mar 28, 2009 4:45:00 am - 385 views | 5 comments
I recently watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit and i wish life was really like that (sad i know). But wouldn't that be awsome to live in toon town? You could have a beer with Peter Griffin, Homer Simpson, and Hank Hill, or watch Speed Racer race for real. You could have a real pokemon as a pet, or see Dethklok play, the possibilities are endless. Not to mention the...

  9. Obama can keep the change - I want to keep my Comic Retailer open

    on Mar 25, 2009 6:35:00 pm - 333 views | 5 comments
I have lived in the southwest burbs of Chicago for nearly 20 years now, and seen four comic book shops go out of business. I like to live in the sticks so I can burn stuff and blow up things on the 4th of July so I don't mind the drive of 30 maybe 40 minutes to get my mitts on the latest rags I'm into. Today, I walk into my normal shop - they're closing next week....

  10. Punisher movie-war zone

    on Mar 22, 2009 10:35:00 pm - 425 views | 5 comments
Okay so today was a blockbuster kinda day and I actually rented The Punisher:War Zone Staring Ray Stevenson. I know, I know I asked myself why? Nobody has ever got Frank Castle down pat. Dolph Lungrin's punsiher was a sort of glam rock version, and Tom Jane was a bit too pretty. Ray Stevenson though was pretty much the best Frank I have ever seen on the big screen....
