ComicBookRealm.com's new design is here!
If you can't tell, the entire site has had a visual makeover! It is a large site and as such there might be a thing or two out of whack. If you notice any issues, please let us know about them here.
I am a long-time reader of comic books. Opened a comic book store with my husband to expand our love of comics with the public.
Titan Comics a newly formed company, since 2012 is one of the best new publishers on the market today. Bloodthirsty #1 is one of their newest release (just last week) and I know what your thinking, another vampire comic ugh, I know because it was what I was thinking, but I gave it read and holy smokes it was really good!! Very well written and the artwork, WOW! Ashley Witter hits the mark here with her amazing artwork, really breathing life into the story!
New Orleons after the tragedy of Katrina...the homeless are dissapearing? Virgil, a former coast guard member is remembering the horrors he experienced rescuing thousands of civilians during Katrina. In his flashback, he remembers the monstrosity he experienced when he was attempting to rescue his parents.
Virgil is too late to rescue them by only minutes, but his mother, hanging on by a thread has a few last words for her son, take care of your brother, Trey. Distraught beyond belief Virgil pulls his mothers body out of the house, thinking he can save her and ends up almost drowning himself. While underwater Virgil spots more victims, but something is wrong...all of them have their throats slit.
Jumping to the present, Virgil is no longer with the coast guard, and another storm is approaching. Virgil wants nothing to do with it and plans on heading out of New Orleans and asks his brother to join him. Trey refuses and our Blood Thirsty story begins. What happens next will shock and horrify you!
I highly recommend Bloodthirsty #1...from what I have read this is not your average vampire story....it's something more, something far worse!
