  • With the new Star Wars Rogue One movie, can someone tell me why the 1990's Dark Horse series has not gone up in value. With everything else Star Wars collectible, why don't these hold more collectible value.

  • most likely saturation. Dark horse pushed lots of those star wars books out. May be just because theres simply too many printed. another likely scenario is that there may not be any "key" books there to raise the publics interest. its an offshoot movie (like the one in the 80's) may not pull what the main story pulls as far as interest.

Star wars is harder for interest to peek also becuase there is just soooooo much sw stuff out there. the comics are not the main focus when thinking of a sw collectible.

  • Ditto on what AmZoMBiE said.

Add to that, that the Rogue Squadron comic series has nothing to do with the movie except for a similar name.

  • In April 2014, Lucasfilm announced that all previously released expanded universe content would be declared non-canon and rebranded as Star Wars Legends. This has really put a damper on the Dark Horse comics.
